Cemex funds new computer for Rugby Hospital Radio

4 December 2015

Cemex’s  benevolent fund have donated £2,500 to Rugby Hospital Radio to cover the cost of a new computer used for broadcasting music to patients on the wards of St Cross.

Ian Southcott, Community Affairs Manager for Cemex UK, visited the charity’s studio on Wednesday 2 December to see the station for himself and hand over the cheque.

“This is a very generous donation by Cemex”, said Rugby Radio Hospital Chairman Mike O’Connor. “Our previous PC was on its last legs and although we’ve kept it going as long as possible, a new one really was needed. This funding will enable us to do that. We’re very pleased to have our work in the community recognised by a major business in the town”.
